Project Engineering Geologist

Hamish Foy

Hamish is a Project Engineering Geologist with seven years’ experience working in Australia, New Zealand, and USA. Hamish’s experience includes geotechnical site assessments, slope stability assessment and analysis, liquefaction analysis, rockfall assessment and modelling, earthworks testing and observation, and project management. His experience also includes the design of soil nail and rock anchors, temporary works, retaining walls and rockfall protection structures.

“Problem solving, creating and innovating are passions of mine. Working at ENGEO, which is a company that strongly encourages these values, makes coming to work interesting, challenging and exciting. I get to collaborate with likeminded people who share this same passion, and collectively we get to push the boundaries of what is achievable”.

Outside of work you will find Hamish skiing, fly fishing, cooking, hiking, playing various sports, travelling, or working on his 1980’s Volkswagen Golf GTI. He also attempts to complete a bit of DIY and gardening if there is any time left in the day
