At ENGEO, we are looking to fill our early careers positions with highly motivated and enthusiastic graduates.

We offer exciting graduate pathways in New Zealand that provide practical experience and hands on mentorship to develop your skills. A few of our spots are already taken, but we still have opportunities available across the country:

  • Auckland: Graduate geotechnical engineer
  • Tauranga: Graduate geotechnical engineer
  • Christchurch: Graduate geotechnical engineer

What do we do?

 

We are a specialist consultancy servicing the property and construction industry, and a key responder to natural disasters and land hazards.

There are three main pillars to our team:

Ground engineering: Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists

Contaminated land and environment: Environmental Scientists and Engineers

Water services: Hydrologists, Hydrogeologists, and Groundwater Scientists

 

We deliver complex projects for quality clients who value our work:

  • Large scale land development and residential subdivisions
  • Transport and civil infrastructure
  • Buildings and subsurface structures
  • Aged care facilities and hospitals
  • Natural hazard and disaster prevention and remediation, including landslide stabilisation, rockfall mitigation, flood recovery, and more

 

What will you be doing?

 

As a graduate, you’ll support a range of projects by contributing technical input under the guidance of experienced professionals. You’ll gain hands-on experience through fieldwork, analysis, and reporting while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

  • Field investigations & analysis:
    Assisting with site investigations, sampling, data collection. Contributing to the characterisation and assessment of site conditions, hazards, and constraints, and supporting the development of practical recommendations.
  • Project delivery & collaboration:
    Supporting project delivery through field coordination, data management, and preparation of technical outputs, while working with colleagues, clients, and contractors.

Many of our graduates also have opportunities to work on projects outside their home region! You could travel to other parts of New Zealand, as well as Australia, the Pacific, and over to California!
