ENGEO’s Richard Justice is elected to the New Zealand Geotechnical Society’s Management Committee

ENGEO is delighted to announce our very own Principal Engineering Geologist, Richard Justice, has been elected to the New Zealand Geotechnical Society’s (NZGS) management committee for 2021 and beyond.

“These are unprecedented times for our industry. The recent large earthquakes in the South Island and the future seismic threat to New Zealand, a growing population and the uncertainty that climate change brings means our industry will be challenged like never before. This challenge was acknowledged I think in the very strong field of candidates for the NZGS management committee this year, and I’m humbled to have been selected. I’m looking forward to being involved with the NZGS over the next few years, and beyond!”

The NZGS is the affiliated organisation in New Zealand of the International Societies representing practitioners in soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and engineering geology.
Congratulations to all newly elected members and thanks to all who enthusiastically put themselves forward as candidates this year.
