Matt is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with more than 25 years’ professional consultancy experience. Mainly in the sunny Auckland and Bay of Plenty. He leads major projects and provides technical advice for a number of challenging projects across New Zealand. Matt has an extensive range of geotechnical experience, specialising in resilience-based seismic design, large public and private infrastructure projects, land development, slope stability, compressible soils, liquefaction, lateral spreading, and the design of complex temporary and permanent retaining structures.
“ENGEO provides me with the tools and resources needed to be innovative and to tackle site challenges in bespoke ways. I get to collaborate with likeminded people who share this same energy and passion, to collectively expand the limits of what we can accomplish to manage client risks and requirements.“
Outside of work you will find Matt exploring on his motorbike, playing various instruments (guitar, bass, drums), spending time in the vege gardening or on bush walks in the local Kaimai Ranges.
