Rabbi is a Senior Chartered Geotechnical Engineer with over 19 years of combined experience in academia and in consulting. This includes more than six years in geotechnical consultancy, particularly in South Australia. His professional strengths encompass managing medium- to large-scale geotechnical site investigations for critical infrastructure projects such as rail and road networks, electrical infrastructure systems, and renewable energy developments like solar and wind farms. Specialising in both temporary and permanent geotechnical structures, he has developed solutions for shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, analysis of collapsible and problematic soil, and pavement design and analysis. Additionally, he has contributed to the development of DesignPave, a concrete block pavement design software for the Concrete Masonry Association of Australia (CMAA). Before transitioning to the consulting industry in 2017, Rabbi built a robust academic and research portfolio at prestigious institutions across Australia, Japan, and Bangladesh, enriching his engineering approach with innovative and research-driven insights.
